Description
The sockets are the female part of the snap. Normally used with a snap cap (not included). The pieces sandwich the material between them and then the socket attaches to a stud or screw stud (not included). We recommend the stainless steel and nickel brass for marine and boat use. The nickel brass is sometimes preferred due to it being a softer metal than the stainless steel requesting less strength to crimp and take on and off. Due to galvanic corrosion, we typically recommend matching the hardware up to what is already on the boat. If there are stainless snaps already on the boat, we recommend a stainless socket and vise versa. Socket Snap fasteners popular in marine and outdoor uses.
