Description
Clear Vinyl (Rolled Clear Vinyl/Plastic)
54" double roller polished flexible vinyl. Uses vary from slipcovers for furniture to enclosures on boats.
Uses in the home
The thinner gauges typically the 12 and 16 gauge are used in slip covers for furniture. That clear plastic your grandmother or that lady from church has on her couch, protecting her beautiful floral pattern couch that has outlasted several presidents.
Marine or boat uses
The thicker gauges typically the 30 and 40 are used in boat enclosures, windscreens, clear vinyl windows, Biminis and dodgers. For clear windows that roll up we recommend the 30 gauge, for vinyl windows that will come off the boat when not in use we recommend the 40 gauge.
Commercial uses
Our clear vinyl is commonly used in restaurant or bar roll up windows. Very common here in Florida on the water restaurants will have a patio type seating area for customer to enjoy the view. Also, very common in Florida we have rain storms and some times you will need to quickly roll down their vinyl windows to protect their customers from the elements.
The 20, 30 & 40 gauge have UV inhibitors. Please note that material on the roll is stretch so when you go to cut your windows out, please cut them an inch or two larger than necessary and allow the vinyl to settle for a couple of hours. The material will shrink a small amount and if you have already sewn on your binding it will begin to wrinkle.
