Description
Polyethylene foam is a firm and lightweight foam that will float given that the closed cell structure prevents it from absorbing water. Its water repelling and firm nature make it ideal for outdoor applications where force absorption is important. Polyethylene is a hydrocarbon monomer that gives the foam its lightweight but high strength properties. These sheets are put together by laminating 1/2 inch thick sheets together in a method called cross linking. It is a popular choice for low profile and water resistance cushions that will endure high impact uses.
