Description
Bolster clips are marine hardware used to attach upholstered bolsters, coaming pads, seating cushions and seat backs to the boat. The PVC or plywood on the back of the cushion slides over the “Z” clip and the offset lockdown clip holds the cushion in place.
This specific model of clips F Z375X90-100 (pack of 100) are a type of “Z” clip. They are for use with a 3/8th inch thick PVC board or plywood on the back of the cushion. (Clips also sold individually and in different sizes)
Attachment is typically done by cutting a small square or round hole in the PVC board on the back of the cushion for the “Z” clip to slide up into. The Z clip needs to be securely mounted to the boat with screws. The lock down clip (part# F Z00LD) is mounted on the bottom edge of the cushion with screws. Leaving one end of the clip extending out slightly past the end of the cushion with one hole to put a screw though, securing it to the boat. This prevents the cushion from moving at all and makes sure the cushion cannot lift up and off the “Z” clip.
