Description
The Adhesive Backed Hook and Loop is a fastener that creates a strong and secure connection that is easy to separate and reattach with a straightforward installation process. The hook side has many small stiff hook-like projections that attach to the softer more fibrous loop side when pressed together. The unique part of this product is the adhesive backing which is made from a water based acrylic solvent. This type of solvent makes the product resistant to high temperatures, the elements, and UV degradation. The installation process needs a clean surface and around 24 hours for the complete bond to form. These fasteners can be used in boat enclosures, upholstered cushions, automotive interiors, bags, clothes, and more. The adhesive is particularly good for adhering to ABS boards, acrylic sheets, aluminum, ceramic tile, glass, raw plywood, fiberglass, and rigid vinyls. It is important to note that this product is not recommended for use with standard PVC vinyl as the adhesive solvent and plasticizers in the vinyl will interact in a way that prevents a strong bond.
